Malea has a special way of engaging listeners of all ages regardless of their age or genre preference. She delivers each of her songs with a touch of soulful vulnerability along with a powerful and expressive quality that unfolds and lingers on, leaving you with an unforgettable performance.

MALEA is no stranger to the stage. Her credits include performances in theater, film, television and radio. She had the opportunity to act in several independent films and was a featured dancer and actor in the 20th Century Fox film “Men of Honor” starring Robert De Niro and Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Charlize Theron and in the Lifetime film “Take My Advice: the Ann & Abby Story" staring Wendie Malick.

 

Malea started her entertainment career singing, dancing and acting in musical theatre, television and movies. During this time she had the opportunity to meet and work with professional entertainers who coached her and encouraged her to continue in her entertainment path.

June 2005, Malea collaborated with Craig Bidondo and released her debut album "If You Really Knew Me" which showcased a wide range of styles ranging from Cole Porter, Bette Midler, Tina Turner, Van Morrison, Marvin Hamlisch, Irving Berlin, Anita Baker, Jim Brickman, Antonio Carlos Jobim & Carole Bayer Sager. June 2016 Malea & her band, Malea & The Tourists released their album "Bring Me Sunshine” which features Malea: lead vocals, Kit Taylor: piano/vocals, Steve Morgan: bass/ backing vocals, Eric Austin: saxophone/clarinet/backing vocals and Steve Turmell: drums/ backing vocals. January 2020  Malea & The Tourists released "Have You Seen My Angel"  which features a very stellar "tight group" of musicians/friends that have worked together for 5 - 12 yrs. whom strive to provide 100 % + to their clients. Malea: lead vocals, Kit Taylor: piano/vocals, Steve Morgan: bass, Eric Austin: sax/ clarinet, Fred Ingram: drums. The Cd Album's title track was a collaboration between Malea and Kit Taylor, her accompanist & friend of 10 yrs. The song was written in memory of Malea's cat Mozart and for anyone whom has loved and lost.

In addition to singing and acting, Malea was a fitness spokesperson for Reebok, for whom she directed, produced and hosted over 50 fitness and dance videos, as well as hosted a morning TV segment titled “Fit Tips With Malea”.

 

When Malea is not performing, some of her favorite hobbies include: playing tennis, gardening, cooking, golf, biking, hiking, travel and volunteer work which she is most proud of Fundraising for The Cat Adoption Team & Oregon Humane Society since 2009 + opening her home for a Toy Drive for CASA/ New Market Theater for Children In Foster Care since 2011 and still continues to fundraise & donate her time along with her band members.
